In her devotional, Daily Inspiration With Sigi, Sigi Oblander writes, "You say, 'I do not want to be lonely' or 'I do not want to be sick. I do not want to suffer.' Yes, but what is it you want from God? Is it only a certain emotion, a certain time, a certain fulfillment, or a certain calling for a season, or do you really want the ultimate eternal fulfillment to find that which you were born to do?"
I love people who challenge me and question my thinking, my actions. It isn't comfortable and it makes me angry or hurt at times. But here is a perfect example. What do I really want from God?
You put it so well, Melody: Sharing the transforming love of God is what it's all about. I wish to share this transforming love, and the abiding faith I have come to feel in a high power. I can think of no more rewarding way to live what is left of my life.
